Today’s exciting discovery is the marriage of Maria Pamment, my g.g.grandaunt. Maria was born in Stoke Newington in 1811 to Samuel Pamment and Sarah Ainsworth. The marriage certificate names the groom as Domenicus Coussens and the date of the marriage was 6 November 1831 at St. Mary Islington in Middlesex. The witnesses were William Pamment and Sarah Warren. Interestingly, William Pamment signed his name and his signature matches the one where he witnessed his brother John’s marriage to Elizabeth Campin on 9 April 1832.
