Thomas Taylor, son of Charles Taylor and Caroline Matilda Smithers, born in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire in 1898 and died in the First World War in France on 19 July 1916 may be one of the bodies to be identified as part of the disovery of a mass grave and efforts to identify the bodies through DNA. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5932745/First-World-War-bodies-to-be-identified.html. According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission he was a Private in “D” Coy 2nd/1st Bucks Btn, Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry.
