George William Allen Thompson was born in Barlborough, Derbyshire in 1876. His parents were Benjamin Thompson and Alice Allen. George married Edith Marion Bygott in 1904 in Marylebone, London. They had four children: Edith Dorothy Allen Thompson born in West Ealing, Middlesex in 1905; Alice Rosina Alice Thompson born in Radlett, Hertfordshire in 1907; Florence Nora Allen Thompson born in Norwich, Norfolk in 1908; and, Harold Geoffrey Allen Thompson born in Jacksdale, Notts in 1910. Edith Marion Bygott was born in Manchester c.1880. George was a pharmicist by trade. His aunt Sarah Elizabeth Thompson was my great-grandmother.
